Volupte is an original choice, if maybe a little risqué! You should perhaps check with your date what they think about burlesque, because although it is theatrical entertainment there is sometimes an element of strip tease... but this is a teatime show so not too crazy (come back in the evening for something a little more interesting)!
The champagne is a good way to start the date, and it's followed by delicious finger sandwiches and pastries, then yummy fresh scones with jam and clotted cream. The tea is served by "Teasmaids" wearing a sexy version of the traditional black and white outfits and while you are eating your tea and drinking your champagne performers with names like Tallulah Mockingbird will entertain you. A pretty standard afternoon…!
Because you will be leaving the venue with plenty of time to play with, we suggest you go and have another drink somewhere. The White Swan just around the corner is the perfect choice, and if you don’t want the date to finish after a drink you can go upstairs to dinner. There's a daily changing a la carte menu, and the ceiling is entirely mirrored, which is a random fact, but a fun feature and one that might inspire you to inulge in a little afternoon tease!
