The Kemp Townhouse is an amazing place to stay if you want something that's a bit different to most of the big chains of hotels in Brighton (and cheaper if you get a deal). We booked it right at the last minute - the evening we were heading away - having seen a great deal on Late Rooms. We called the owner up and got an upgrade to their best room for just an extra £10! Small touches like port, mints and marshmallows (for your hot chocolate) in your room and a lovely breakfast make it such a great place to stay,

The owner recommended a few restaurants for the evening. We checked them all out but went for the one that stood out as the most fun - a great seafood restaurant called Riddle & Finns. You can't book, which is great if it's a last minute trip, and share tables with other guests. The food is amazing and the place has such a great atmosphere that you feel you just have to have a glass of bubbly to get the evening going!

Sunday has to be a walk around The Lanes of Brighton and along the peer. If you're feeling like something more energetic, you can head up onto the South Downs Way for a long and hilly walk!
