Date Description

early days West, North

Treat your lucky one to a delicious brunch at this Belgian bakery and you're guaranteed another date - take our word for it! It's got a wonderfully laid back but bustling atmosphere, the food is fantastic, and you drink your morning brew from bowls - trés continental!

Having restored your energy levels with some exciting Belgian baking (who ever said the Belgians were boring?) at the Marylebone High Street branch of Le Pain you are now in the perfect spot to extend the brunch date into something more...

On a sunny day you are a stones throw from Regent's Park, so take a stroll to work off those pastries. You could hire a deckchair, check out a puppet show, or even pop into London Zoo. If the weather is against you there are still plenty of options to keep the date going. If it's culture you're after head to the Wallace Collection for some art, or at the other end of the spectrum you can go and stare at Kylie's hotpants or Justin's Trousersnake without fear of arrest at Madame Tussauds. Finally if things are still going well, you can finish off the date snuggled up watching Shakespeare in the Open Air Theatre back in Regent's Park.

Whether you go for nature, culture or Kylie & Justin, you'll have the energy after brunch at Le Pain. For future 'post-date dates', check out their other spots in Notting  Hill, Kensington, Chelsea, Soho and on the South Bank.

Take a look at our feature "the classic inbetweener" for some more great brunch date ideas!

rendez-vous
Good place to meet if you are going to one of the South Ken museums. Relaxed atmosphere and lots of platters that you can share which makes it good for an early date.
