Date Description

early days East

Cafe Kick and Bar Kick (its younger brother) are fantastic places to go to if you're after a fun venue for a date. This is not the place to meet after work for champagne, dim lighting and jazz but it is the place to go for a refreshingly different and fun night out!

Easy to get to from the City, the quirky Kick's are a perfect place to go to after a day at your boring old City job. A couple of hours (and Caipirinha's) later, and you'll remember what fun really means!

"I've been to Rio, but the Caipirinha's were better than in RIO!
We had FUN that night."

Small, but perfectly formed, Cafe Kick offers a delicious slice of Latin life in the heart of London. The tiny Cafe offers everything you could wish for if you want to forget your troubles and feel like you're on holiday - just make sure your remember to pack your havianas in your briefcase and you're sorted!

Playing fussball is not compulsory but its a great way to relax and have a laugh with your date. You can tell a lot about someone's personality by the way they play table football - competitive, generous, reckless, passionate... And the old "if I win the next game you have to cook me dinner" line will guarantee a next date!

Assuming the date is going well, what next? Well, Exmouth Market is a great area to go out in so you're not short on options. If you want to continue the chilled and unpretentious feel then head to Al's Bar which is just round the corner. This busy but relaxed bar serves great food and plays great music which makes it a top place to end the evening. It's also brilliant for breakfast if you end up staying over! Oh, and it also features in Bridget Jones...

Feeling like raising your game a little? Then head to Dollar Grills & Martinis. The glamourous decor and cosy leather seats with be a change in tone from the laminated table tops at Cafe Kick and will show that you do also know how to impress!

Rhum Jungle is also on Exmouth Street, so if you want to keep the holiday vibe going then head here to sip cocktails and listen to calypso beats! Even if its chucking it down outside, you and your date will be loving the Caribbean cool and summer time fun...

Enjoy!

Reviews

Authentic
This is an awesome cafe-bar. It really reminds me of cool local bars in small town South America. It is full of character but the ultimate reason to visit Cafe Kick (other than the foosball tables) is the excellent cocktails - beware of the Caipirinha's!

Fun fun fun!!!
Cafe Kick is brilliant fun! Especially on a Friday when it is jam packed with a combination of city suits and eccentric artists. My friend met her husband there so we love it!

cool
This is a really cool bar - but take the right girl... mine didn't really get it! Think she would have rather been at a poncy wine bar! Clearly that was our last date!
