If you like your art 'old skool', then leave the Tate Modern to the pretenders and stick to the original with Late at the Tate Britain.
Late at Tate Britain happens on the first Friday of every month and provides a unique opportunity to enjoy art and culture in a relaxed (i.e. with a drink!), comfortable atmosphere - perfect for a first or second date!
Why not do the gallery and then 'discuss the art' over a drink at the Tate restaurant? Late Tate runs from 6pm till 10pm which is perfect for an early date. If you are finding your conflicting views on art too stressful then lasting till 10pm shouldn't be too much of a struggle, but if your shared love of Pre-Raphaelite painters has forged a strong bond between you, well, the night is still young and you can move on elsewhere... what about heading up to Boisdale in Belgravia for some Jazz and a whisky nightcap?

![]() | Something different I had a great date here. We saw the Millais exhibition and then had drinks in the gallery. We didin't go out afterwards (as we'd both had nightmare Friday's at work) but a second date was lined up the next day. Good venue - something different to do - thanks.
