Date Description

first dateearly days Central

With Late at the Tate you can have a glass of wine, listen to some great new music before, after or even instead of viewing an exhibition. We promise it wont feel anything like a school trip, except for the part when you walk home hand in hand giggling!

Day or night the Tate Modern is a fantastic date venue, having fast become an iconic London landmark. Like it's sister across the river, Tate Modern is open until 10pm on Friday and Saturday nights which makes it a great option for a post work date on Friday or an early evening date on Saturday.

Meet at the foot of the wobbly bridge before heading in to the gallery for a quick whiz around - making sure that you don't fall down the now legendary "Tate Modern Crack"! Assuming that you make it round in one peice, head up to the restaurant on the 7th floor.  Providing some of the best views of London, the restaurant (renowned for its incredible wine list) is open until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays and is the perfect place to finish off a date at the Tate.

If you have had a fun date, and you feel you want to send a little present, how about a book to remember it by?

Reviews

regardless of the silly art, this is a good one
I did this one and had supper in the restaurant on the top floor too. The restaurant was great - not cheap I suppose, but the food was good and the views were even better. I'd definitely recommed this to anyone - you don't need to be interested in the art at all - the building is dramatic and impressive enough to impress anyone who's not into the art there. Finish it off with a stroll along the south bank, or back over the 'wobbly' bridge to the tube.
