We suggest you start the date with a quick drink at The Botanist. Although in reality this is more of a restaurant than a bar, they do have a fantastic cocktail list and because it's not too loud and hectic you will actually be able to hear each other speak. Always useful on a date!
After you've had your warm up drink, make your way to Le Cercle, the westerly sister of Michelin starred Club Gascon. The atmosphere here is thick with style and easy romance, with high ceilings, billowing drapes and soft lighting. If it's a special occasion, try and steal (not literally please…) a pre dinner cocktail in the private mezzanine overlooking the dining room. It's a seriously glamorous way to warm up for a dinner you won't forget. The food itself is innovative French but served 'tapas-style', which means you get to sample that little bit more from the enormous menu. The wine list too is extensive, but thankfully there are plenty of extremely helpful and knowledgable waiting staff to assist you should you need it (and we definitely did…!). If heaven is as gloriously smooth and sophisticated as this, we're in.
Still want more? If you're after just one more drink, or you feel it's time to show your prowess on the dance floor then head to Kitts, a fab little night club just a stone's throw away.
