Although the London Dungeons tends to be more popular with tourists than locals, we think this is a great venue for a date - it's simply one step up from going to a horror film. You will giggle, possibly scream, and you will almost definitely have to hold hands! The London Dungeons combines real history with horror and humour to bring gruesome goings-on back to life in the 21st century. You walk from room to room where live actors, a terrifying boat ride, shows and special effects transport you to London's gory past. The Extremis Ride is brilliant and will definitely release those endorphins - and who doesn't want their date to feel happy and elated / terrified…?!
After you have screamed at the ghosts and ghouls and giggled your way through the tour, head to the Blueprint Café.
The Blueprint is in London's Design Museum, and has incredible views of the London skyline with Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and along the Thames to Canary Wharf. The Head Chef Jeremy Lee creates fantastic food, and if you're there for lunch there's a great fixed menu.
After you've had lunch it would be crazy not to have a wander around the Design Museum and see their current exhibition. If museum's aren't your bag however, just go for a walk along the river - always romantic.
