Take a trip to the zoo to experience some animal attraction... it's all about getting back to nature and witnessing some primal passion!
I'm guessing you haven't been for about 15 or 20 years and wouldn't even consider it. Am I right? Well think again because London Zoo is a fantastic date.
Arrive at lunchtime for an afternoon of entertainment and education. Take a walk through the Gorilla Kingdom and Meet the Monkeys before wandering through the incredible Butterfly Paradise tunnel. Don't forget feeding time for the penguins either. You'll be suprised by how much the Zoo has changed since you last visited - it's much more ethical and interactive than it used to be and it's a completely different experience going as an adult!
It's a tiring business, so bring a picnic with you or grab some food at one of the many cafes before setting up camp. If the weather's good, lie on the grass in one of the open spaces and look up at the beautiful plane trees and the (hopefully!) blue skies.
On the way home, there are a number of options for the budding casanova: walk up Primrose Hill for the best view to be found within Zone 1, stroll westwards down the old tow path of the Regent's Canal to Little Venice or east to perenially cool Camden. If your feet can't take anymore pick up the canal boat instead.
If you are heading down towards Little Venice then pop into Cafe Laville for a warming cup of coffee and an amazing view straight down the canal...
P.s. Don't forget, ZSL London Zoo Adoptions could make the perfect present for your perfect mate!

![]() | the waterway I did something really similar to this at the weekend and can really recommend this bar as a place to finish up: www.thewaterway.co.uk. It's got a great terrace, right alongside the canal, cool interiors and really good food. Definitely a good place to finish up after what was quite a long walk. ![]() | animal attraction! I went to London Zoo this weekend after seeing the date you suggested... it was brilliant. We had fantastic weather which really helped. We went to the zoo in the afternoon then walked down the Regent's canal all the way to Little Venice. My girlfriend and I didn't even know there was a canal above Regents Park! Really fun and unusual way to spend the day - thanks. Reviewer : Ben Submitted : 2008-10-13 14:45:49 |
