Lucky Voice have branches in Islington and Soho (as well as outside London), so pick your venue and make a plan! For the Soho branch what about about a delicious Keralan meal at Rasa Samudra (highy recommended by Miss Mary!), followed by a cocktail or two at the Charlotte Street Hotel before weaving your way down to Lucky Voice on Poland Street. If you're heading for Islington then what about starting off with a couple of drinks at the Drapers Arms? Whatever you decide, don't forget that the staff at Lucky Voice are on hand to keep you topped up with food and drinks during your sensational singing sessions!
"Now everyone's mother thinks their child is the best at everything and my mother was no exception; I always thought I had the voice of angel. Put a blonde curly wig on me and a cowboy hat and I literally thought I would be able to rival Beyonce. Little did I know, singing is a lot harder than I thought it was in the shower.
You walk through a pretty swanky bar to your private booth. In there you have a screen, a digital screen selection thing, a box of hats and wigs and two extremely rocking microphones. There’s even a wee button to press that says thirsty and a dude pops his head around the door and gets you any cocktail, beer, wine or snack that you want.
It’s incredible. It’s basically posh karaoke. I left with no voice, some glitter from my cowboy hat and a fuzzy head from too much shouting and wine. It was utterly brilliant. I am convinced I am Adele and I am convinced that you will like it, whether you are a karaoke fan or not. It’s brilliant."
Reviewd for us by the lovely Em Bell - thank you!

![]() | hen I did this not as a date but as part of a hen night. It was seriously good fun, even if like me the thought of karaoke appalls you! (only slightly worrying thing is that they play samples of what's going on in the loos which does make you realise you don't sound quite as good as you might think!) ![]() | Not for a first date! Lucky Voice is brilliant - I have been there a few times - but I agree that it is definitely an "early days" date and NOT a first date! You get way too drunk and way too shouty for someone that doesn't know you yet! For a date with someone you really like having fun with it is perfect :) Reviewer : Nic Submitted : 2011-05-03 11:21:52 |
