Exmouth Market is a sparkly little gem in the heart of London. If you work in the City or East London it's perfect for an after-work date, and for those of you a little further afield it's a great reason to head into town for a Saturday night.
Start your evening off with a fairy lit wander up and down Exmouth Market. There is always plenty going on and you can guarantee there'll be a crowd outside Cafe Kick. Walk back down to the Farringdon Road end of the market and go to Dollar for a couple of drinks before dinner. This is a fantastic restaurant in its own right, but for this date you are here for the delicious cocktails!
After a couple of drinks head a few metres back down the market to the award winning restaurant Moro. With a laid back atmosphere it really is all about the food at Moro. Forget trying to impress your date with your knowledge of Southern Mediterranean cuisine - it's a better idea to talk to the staff who are incredibly well informed about the food and the wine, particularly the sherry!
Having eaten, drunk and chatted your way through dinner you've got two options: head home or work off those calories with an energetic round of baby foot at Cafe Kick. You decide!

![]() | loved it! Exmouth market is a real winner. There's loads of options, but Moro really is fantastic and such a nice atmosphere too. The food is seriously good and the wine list is extensive - make sure you try some of the dry sherries with your starters. Try the peppers too - called pimientos de padron. ![]() | delicious My boyfriend and I went to Moro a few weeks ago. We sat outside and had a glass of wine on the pavement first (even though it was October!) and then had a really delicious meal. The staff were super helpful and it definitely is worth asking their advice. I had THE most amazing starter of tender lamb and yoghurt . Moro comes highly recommended!
