Fantastic Italian food in a really relaxed environment... perfect for an early date!
Meet for a drink first in the Thomas Cubit pub which is literally opposite the restaurant, then head over the road for your meal. All the food here is brilliant, but I would really recommend the pizzas which are HUGE and fantastic. Unless you've got a gargantuan appetite you wont need to order a starter!
Belgravia is a lovely area so, unless you are in a rush, or it's raining (both quite likely in London!) I would suggest taking a romantic stroll instead of hopping straight into a taxi. Plus... you'll need to work off all that Pizza!

 | Best pizzas in London hands down There must be something about this place as my husband and I had our first date in here in September 2002! We are still regulars despite now living south of the river. It's the perfect first date place, informal, small but buzzy and fantastic food. The pizzas are the best in London and the crab linguine is delicious. Follow up with their frozen yoghurt. Yum. They also own Olivio and Olivomare in the same area with Oliviocarne on its way apparently. Olivio is prob not such a good date place but Olivomare (just fish) is superb (AA Gill gave it 5 stars), it's more sophisticated than Olivetto and a bit more expensive - prob a date place when you are sure really like them!  | drinks... I did exactly this date last night and it was great. The weather was gorgeous and we had drinks outside at the pub and then just popped across the road for supper - it all felt very continental! The only thing I would say is that the drinks at the Thomas Cubitt were really expensive and the house white at Oliveto wasn't that great. Otherwise a great date! | best pizzas in london! this Sardinian place is my favourite restaurant in London and I think it serves the best pizzas in town - I always go for the Pizza Braseola. If you're feeling adventurous try the sea urchins as a starter too! Great atmosphere, and definitely a good one for a first date as it's not too stuffy or over romantic. The tiramisu is delicious if you've got room after their massive thin crust pizzas! I've never had anything less than a great supper here and the staff are charming too.
