This is a great date if you want to keep things simple and close to home for all you Fulhamites... no bad thing if it's a relaxed date night with a long term love or early days. The emphasis is laid back date but there is most certainly a food angle here.
The Harwood Arms in Fulham had a re-vamp and re-opened back in September 2008. Initially met with scorn by Fulham locals who felt their comfortable drinking hole had been turned into a smart eating establishment, this scorn quickly changed to respect as those locals discovered the food! (Michelin star food no less...)
Whether its one of their sharing options - great for a date - like the Ham hock (if its not on the menu demand they bring it back ASAP!), or the soft boiled scotch eggs you will always have something to discuss and marvel at; how do those eggs have such a runny yoke and yet a crispy shell?! There is something for everyone on the Harwood menu and it's so comfortable you could happily stay there for hours - we suggest you do...

| mmmmmmm? We booked a table at the Harwood ages ago pre Michelin so were intrigued to find out about the Star and what this meant we had in store.. we've eaten there lots before and have always enjoyed it but suddenly more was expected. I feel bad for them as the food is still delicious and the service lovely and just the right level of attentive, yet you can't help asking what it was that got them that star...
