This is a date for people who appreciate good food and will be impressed by a famous hot spot restaurant.
Meet your date at the Crabtree Tavern on Rainville Road. This great Hammersmith pub has a large beer garden with loads of seating, and if the weather isn’t particularly good then the staff will put the patio heaters on.
After your warm up drink, head down the road to The River Café. This famous restaurant re-opened in October 2008, with a few updates, including a new dining room featuring a completely exposed kitchen with a free-standing wood oven. This is not only used to cook pizza but also whole game birds! It's one of those restaurants that makes you want to get a 150-hours-a-week city job, just so you can afford to eat there every day! The food is simple but 100% delicious, and your date will be really impressed. You should definitely book ahead, but if it's summer (and warm) it may be possible to turn up and get a table as the outdoor tables cannot be booked in advance.
Although we don’t think you'll need any drinks after dinner, if you do want a nightcap take an 8 minute stroll to The Colton Arms, one of the few old style pubs left in London complete with locals and a dog. The seating is all very close and intimate... perfect for making your move!

![]() | incredible food Went for an anniversary dinner and the food really was amazing... sea bass carpaccio to start and scallops for main - DELICIOUS. Must admit was not totally blown away by the decor but food more than makes up for it. Quite a grown up, expensive, trendy crowd, fab for a special occasion.
