Date Description |
 West, Central |
If you aren’t in a rush and want to enjoy a lazy afternoon with someone in the cool light of day, then this is a great date. Start with lunch on Charlotte Street, a hub of eateries in central London which caters for all tastes. Depending on the weather and your budget, try Fino for tapas (underground and pricey), Roka for Japanese (also pricey) or one of the many other options depending on what you feel like eating.
After a leisurely lunch, meander down through Soho to the Royal Academy. If it’s the right time of year you can catch the annual Summer Exhibition, which is always worth a visit. If it isn’t the right time for the Summer Exhibition, the RA has a continuous programme of internationally acclaimed loan exhibitions - it's always well worth a visit.
Having sobered up from your lunch courtesy of some cultural stimulation, go and wander around Fortnum and Mason and then pop over the road for tea at The Ritz and revel in the Englishness of your afternoon!
