Walk Along Regent's Canal

If you want a bit of outdoor time, but want somewhere to head for rather than walking aimlessly around, we suggest a stroll along the canal in Camden.

Meet your date at Camden Lock Market. This is a craft market, which has been around since 1974. From there you can walk along the canal to London Zoo.  It isn't a long walk, and definitely not challenging, but it is safe as there aren't cars roaring past and you can see all the pretty barges.

You will probably be slightly peckish at this point of the date, so we suggest Sardo Canale, one of the few Sardinian Restaurants in London and it's by the Regent's Canal.  The food is delicious and the chefs travel to Sardinia to source the specialty ingredients.  If it is warm there's an outdoor terrace so you can catch some of the rays whilst eating your fantastic lunch and chatting to your date. 

For the next part of the date, go to London Zoo, how can you not have fun?  Zoos seem to bring out the childishness (in us at least), so you can wander around looking at the animals giggling like teenagers. 

If the zoo's not your thing, there are other great alternatives.  Either head north from Regents Park and stroll up to the top of Primrose Hill (fabulous views over London and often the odd celebrity...) or simply continue your walk along the canal to the magical Little Venice.  Water, pretty home boats and a hint of Italy - it's Romance with a capital R.

	Reverse possible I often walk along the regents canal but in the reverse to what is suggested here. Walk towards Camden from regents park along the canal and walk towards The Pembroke Castle Pub in Chalk Farm for a great outdoor Pub Experience. This is a good 45 min walk.
