12 Dates of Christmas

Whilst you might think of Christmas Day as being a family occasion, the run up (in our humble opinion) is all about romance. So why not drum up some festive sparkle by following our adaptation of a Christmas classic…

Mistletoe at the ready…!

On the first day of Christmas my true love.... took me to Partridges on Duke of York Square, off the Kings Road, to ponder all the deliciousness and to choose all my favourite Chirstmas treats.

On the second day of Christmas my true love... took me on a romatic walk along the river to The (Turtle) Dove in Hammersmith, to while away the afternoon watching the river go by and drink hot toddies in this cozy olde worldy pub.

On the third day of Christmas my true love... took me to French Morgan M (sorry we couldn't think of any hen places but at least this rhymes!) in Islington to eat and drink fabulous French food.

On the fourth day of Christmas my true love... took me on a walking tour of all the sights of London, including a stop to feed the (calling) birds at Piccadilly Circus.

On the fifth day of Christmas my true love... gave to me, 5 GOLD RINGS!!! Or just a spot of window shopping on the very festive Old Bond Street!

On the sixth day of Christmas my true love... took me to the Wolsely for breakfast to eat eggs (that the geese have laid!) cooked in a variety of different ways - Delicious.

On the seventh day of Christmas my true love… took me on a romantic stroll along the Serpentine (Hyde Park) to see the swans a swimming. He even tied it in with a winter picnic - what a hero!

On the eighth day of Christmas my true love... took me to Mudchute Farm, the largest city farm in London (32 acres to be precise). You might not find maids a-milking but you will find cows, donkeys and llamas...

On the ninth day of Christmas my true love… took me to see ladies dancing at The Volupte Lounge. Three course dinner, cocktails and burlesque dancing (of course there's always Spearmint Rhino's if you'd prefer…)

On the tenth day of Christmas my true love... took me to see the Lords a leaping with a tour of Parliament. UK residents can also organise a trip up the tower of Big Ben, a great date experience - though you do have to contact your local MP first! Not a hassle free date but worth it we reckon.

On the eleventh day of Christmas my true love...  took me to Boisdale. There probably wont be any pipers piping but it's full or tartan wintery charm none-the-less.

On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love... took me to see the drummer drumming at one of the Albert Hall carol concerts - a London Christmas MUST!

Such a creative way to spend the holidays!
I loved this! It makes me want to run out and do all of it, but don't have a date to do it with. However, I think I might recruit some of the strangers I've met at my secret restaurant to do these with me. I love your site and your ideas! Keep 'em coming! www.nomadchef.com
