Tropical Extravaganza

Brighten the dark days of February by visiting Kew Gardens’ Tropical Extravaganza, a hot-weather oasis of vibrant orchids and dramatic jungle plants, dripping with colour!
Here at the great date guide.com we already know that Kew is a great place to go for a date but their Tropical Extravaganza is definitely something extra special!
The futuristic Princess of Wales Conservatory will be brimming with exotic plants, with bright swathes of orchids weaving through the Conservatory. The Waterlilly House will also be bursting at the seams with luscious, tropical blooms, transporting you and your date to a sun drenched idyllic island far away from freezing, foggy, February London!
Some of the plants on display in the festival will be available to buy in the Kew shop throughout the "extravaganza". This includes a new orchid grown for Kew’s 250th anniversary last year – called Fancy Fresco – with a pink centre surrounded by lime green petals, a quirky romantic gift!
The tropical Extravaganza runs from Saturday 6 February to Sunday 7 March 2010.

totally tropical! I love Kew Gardens. I went to the Extravaganza last year and it was a brilliant thing to do in miserable Feb! Will def go again this year, either on a date with my boyfriend or with my mum! |
