What's On - February 2012

We'll freely admit that Valentine's Day rather overshadows the rest of February for us, but there are indeed days either side of it, and there are in fact many other things to do this month! Let us show you the best of them...

1) Cirque Du Soleil: Totem (Royal Albert Hall: 6th January - 16th February)

The incredible Cirque Du Soleil continues until mid-Feb with the magical Totem - one of their most spectacular and popular shows to date. This particular show follows the journey of evolution and whether you're a Cirque regular or have never been before, we guarantee you'll be enchanted. Buy tickets now

2) Tower of London Twilight Tour (City: 1st, 8th, 16th, 22nd & 29th February)

'Murder, mystery and intrigue at The Tower of London". A fantastic opportunity to join a resident Yeoman Warder (Beefeater) on an eery after hours tour of this historic monument. What a seriously original, fascinating and fun date this would be!

3) Kew Gardens Tropical Extravaganza (Kew: 4th February - 4th March)

A festival of beautiful tropical flowers to brighten up even the longest of winters. There'll be orchids a plenty and a sea of other exotic plants within the themes of earth, air, fire and water.

4) Lucian Freud: Portraits (National Portrait Gallery: 9th February - 27th May)

Produced in close collaberation with the now late Lucian Freud (1922 - 2011), this is the first exhibition to focus soley on his portraiture. Impress your date by booking tickets to this once in a lifetime exhibition - even if you're not into art, he painted some pretty famous people!  Book tickets now

5) Valentine's Day (You decide: 14th February)

Ahhhhhh, it's here at last... We're brimming with great suggestions for how you should be spending 14th February this year, so no hesitations please, just head straight to our Valentine's feature and get planning.

6) National Wedding Show (London Olympia: 24th - 26th February)

No doubt there will be many of you who, helped by excellent GDG guidance along the way, have now decided to tie the knot. Lucky for you then, that this year's National Wedding Show will play host to over 250 suppliers with everything that you could ever need to plan the big day… and rather more besides we imagine! Just one question remains… can we come to the wedding?
